SJRFC High School Players & Parents,This is a long overdue congratulations to all the players who participated in this Spring’s 2014 NJ High School Rugby Season. This is also going out to the SJRFC Alumni Group, over 120 former rugby players who still support our Rugby Programs, and the 40+ players on the current Men’s Club side who are looking forward to you one day playing with them.
This was our first year in Div II of the NJ State High School Rugby Organization. NJ High School Rugby is divided into High School supported/funded rugby programs (Div I) and Club Programs (Div II). Despite a few key injuries, this was the first year in many where we were able to field a full side for every league game and managed to reach the semi finals of the playoffs before being eliminated. We only have four seniors graduating and the squad loaded now with 3rd year players for 2015.
Attached you will find two lists:
- First, congratulations to the 20 players who received the equivalent of a Varsity Letter for their season of participation, practice and games.
- Secondly, congratulations to the six young Jersey Devils who were selected by the Coaches and Administrators to the 2014 NJSBRO Div II All Star Select Side.
A special thanks goes out to our two new volunteer coaches Matt Logan and Lucas Brickley, without whom there could not have been a program this year, and to the Dormann-D’Arpino hosting team putting out a great spread for the visiting clubs at the home matches.

Our U-19 rugby 15's program is currently a spring sport, affiliated with USA Rugby. We will start practice in February indoors at a gym and move outside as soon as the weather will allow. We are currently looking for high school players from all over the area. All of our coaches are USA Rugby certified and have played at very high levels of rugby. Our U19 players do get the opportunity to work along side of our men's team and learn even more. We typically play an 8 game schedule with away games no more that an hour away from our game field in Cherry Hill, NJ. Thank you, John "Andy" Anderson Boy's Coach Karen Falana Girl's Coach
